More than 50,000 runners set off in New York City Marathon

The 48th running of the New York City Marathon will take runners through the city's five boroughs with more than 1 million spectators expected. American Shalane Flanagan and Geoffrey Kipsang Kamworor from Kenya are the defending champs.
